Glenna George Obituary

Glenna Sharon George

Glenna George, 74, left her family and friends on March 22, 2013, to join her parents in Heaven.
She was born November 12, 1938 to Rudy and Elizabeth Simpson in Phelps, Wisconsin. Her family moved to Everett when Glenna was young, she graduated in 1956 from Everett High, and then married Isaac George, and together they created a loving home to raise their children.
Glenna was a special lady who touched the hearts of all. Her smile and laughter contagious. Her friendships for life. The continued love and support of her family and friends meant the world to her.
Glenna leaves behind her loving husband, Isaac;
her children, Lori Valerio (Vince), Patti George
(Patrick) and Steven George (Chris); eight grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
She also leaves behind her sisters, Gayle LeBihan (Henri), Barbara Book (Orin); and brother, Gary Simpson (Sherry); sisters-in-law, Elsie Cope and Gloria Lutz; two "children" that she held close to her heart, Sheryl White Sleeper and Bruce Baker; numerous dear friends, nieces and nephews.
We are all thankful for the time we had with Glenna. "Those we love don't go away. They walk beside us everyday, unseen, unheard, but always near. Still loved, still missed, and forever dear."
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Dear Glenna, you are still such an inspiration to us. Though many of us wish we could hear your voice once more, your presence is still felt here. You had such love for your family... so much that your family was all you felt you needed around you. Your children were in your life as long as they could be. That is a testament to the fact that you were more than a wonderful, loving mother. You were an inspiration and an example of what family should be about.
You showed others how much family matters, and they brought you so much joy. I respect your family members who have made their love for you quite clear.
Your energy lives on, Glenna. Your love lives on. We miss you. We know that you truly are an angel. We are thankful for the many great people in your family who are here because of your love and life.
You and Ike showed all of us a great example of a marriage filled with integrity and dedication. Glenna, you left us with a lasting impression of what it means to be a part of a caring family. Thank you.
Much love and many best wishes to everyone who will always miss you. You are now strong in Heaven, Glenna. You can watch over all your loved ones here, as they had watched over you.
I miss you, too. Hugs. Love, Stacey

It hurts me every day to know you're gone. I still can't believe it. I know you don't want us to be sad but I don't know how to be happy with you gone. You'll always be in my heart, you may be gone but you'll never be forgotten. I wanted to see you but never had the chance to, I wish I could've told you I loved you every day. I didn't even get to say goodbye :( Alexis isn't taking it too good, she speaks about you every day, wishing you can come back. We love and miss you grandma. You're our angel now.

I thought of you today, but that's nothing new. I thought of you yesterday and the days before that too. I think of you in silence, I often speak your name. All I have are memories and your picture in a frame. Your memory is a keepsake from which I'll never part. God has you in his arms. I have you in my heart. I never got to say goodbye or give you the hug I wished I could give but the last thing I told you was that I loved you and that will have to do, but just know that even though you're in heaven now, I'll never stop thinking of you.
