James Ronald Brice

Nov. 3, 1941 - Dec. 8, 2013 Jim was born in Eureka, Kansas. He was the middle child of two sisters and two brothers. In 1962, he visited his older sister in Seattle and attended the World's Fair. At age 21, he moved to Seattle permanently with his mother and younger siblings. He met his wife, Ann, later that year on a blind date and they were married six months later. In 1966, instead of being drafted, Jim enlisted in the Army and was stationed near Frankfurt, Germany. After returning to the states, he was stationed in Washington, D.C. at the Pentagon. After his service time, Jim went to work for the Pay-N-Save Corporation and later for the McKesson Corporation in Everett, WA. The family moved to Mukilteo in 1978 where they continued to raise their three children and Jim worked as a McKesson delivery truck driver. He enjoyed meeting and visiting with people on all the routes he drove. Following his retirement, he became very active in the Mukilteo Senior's Association as well as continuing to be involved in many civic duties from Planning Commission/Parks Department and Lighthouse Festival Association, to driving the Farmer's Market shuttle, and voicing his opinions on a weekly basis at Mukilteo City Council meetings. Jim was a friendly, active member at Northshore Christian Church and specialized in ushering and greeting churchgoers each Sunday, serving on the Missions Committee, delivering pastoral lunches, and hugging anyone who walked through the doors. Just this year, Jim and Ann celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with an Alaskan cruise. Jim was a proud grandpa to five grandchildren (Karina, Roan, Larissa, Reichen, and Rourik). Jim is survived by his wife, Ann; children, Ann Margaret, Rhonda (Terje), and Brien (Michelle); as well as siblings, Margy and Glenn. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Margaret as well as siblings, Raymond and Jo. In memory of Jim, his family would like you to hug someone special today.
