R.I.P. Jim...
Words can't say how much we will miss you...
To Kris and Eric, we want to say how special your dad was. Most people knew Jim as Coach, but we knew him as a friend that we will always remember and have a smile on our face. Outside of football, Jim traveled with us and that allowed us to have hours to just talk and the front porch sittin we did with your dad won't be the same now that he is gone but he will always be remembered.

I was coached by Jim at Shoreline CC in 1968. Enjoyed seeing him while he was coaching at the UW and I worked the charter flights for the Husky Football Team. Always a treat to see him and the big smile on his face that is in the photo to the left. What a pleasure to have known him as a coach and a person. Rip Coach!

The first time I remember Coach Lambright was when he came to Snohomish High School to talk to my dad Dick Armstrong and the staff about special teams. It must have been in the 80's sometime. Later, he came to speak at my Dads golfing memorial in front of all the old Panther grads who had played for my dad. He did a super job - I thought he was the best speaker we ever had there. The last time I saw him we shared a table at the Northwest football hall of fame luncheon, he wore his purple and gold and just looked great. A fine Coach and really great person, a super representative of the Husky football program. God Bless you all in this time of sorrow..thank you for sharing him with all of us.

Kris, Eric, Sue, Ron and families. I will always remember your dad and brother. He did a lot for me over the years. I will always think of his laugh and big smile. He was a great guy and I will never forget. Thinking of all of you during this tough time.

'Loyal Friend" is the best description of Jim we could imagine. When you were with him he made you feel important to him. You always felt he was really present and listening to you. He was a special man.

My prayers are with you Eric and with your entire family. I was privileged to know Lambo not only as a colleague but to see his devotion to Jack and Eloise as Jack battled cancer and his devotion to his children and his pride in you all. I will always remember the way his blue eyes twinkled when he was amused. I remember Jim down on the field in Miami after we shocked the Hurricanes and imagine he was even more excited when he arrived in heaven to be greeted by DJ and your grandparents to celebrate a life well lived. BRAVO JIM!
