James Henry Wenger

James Wenger, 80, of Lake Stevens, WA, passed away on September 7, 2018. Jim was born on July 18, 1938 in Seattle. He graduated from Bothell High School and lived in the Snohomish area for over 60 years. He was a brick mason/general contractor until he retired in his 70's. Jim was a past member of the Eagles. He is remembered for his gift of gab and he never met a stranger. He loved the family trips to Spectacle Lake for almost 40 years. Easter egg hunts and Christmas were his favorite holidays for all the kids and grands! Jim's cookie jar collection was legendary. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Mamie Wenger; brother, Gerald Wenger and granddaughter, Christina Lamphere. He is survived by his loving wife, Violet of 39 1/2 years; sister, Judy Trobee, and children, Desta Johnson (Guy) Peter Wenger (Penny), Anita Hannon, Jami Rentko, James Wenger Jr. (Heather); 17 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. Services to be held at Bauer Funeral Chapel Snohomish, WA, on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at GAR, then celebration of life back at Bauer Chapel.
