They retired to Las Cruces, New Mexico, where Edward passed away; and Jane subsequently moved to Mukilteo, Washington to be near son Scott.
Jane lived a long and fulfilling life and was content in the end. A brilliant, gregarious and outgoing woman, her interest in and ability with people sustained her. She loved the game of life and played it well. Jane was involved in many civic and charitable activities and, in all she undertook, she exhibited a high degree of energy, leadership, attention to detail and general competence.
Her passions included bridge, which she played with command, her children, for whom she held the highest aspirations, and her community, which she cultivated assiduously. Her flame may have burned out, but the spark that Jane always possessed will live on.
