Jane Landre Obituary

Sept 12, 1948 - March 14, 2015 Jane Emily Myers was born September 12, 1948 in Wilmington, Ohio to Arthur and Harriet Elizabeth Myers. Jane was the third child, following Bill and Sherry. Jane's family moved a lot throughout Ohio because of her Dad's truck driving job. She graduated from Xenia Ohio High School in 1966. Right out of high school, along with one of her high school friends, she joined the United States Women's Army Corp (WAC). She was sent to Alabama for basic training, then to Washington DC to work at the Army Material Command and The Pentagon. This is where her life and future changed forever. A tall, good looking soldier from Lake Stevens, Washington was transferred to Washington DC after his tour of duty in Vietnam. They were both assigned to the same AMC office. One thing led to another and on February 24, 1968 they were married in Fort Myer, Va. They moved back to Everett, Wash. where Jane commuted to Fort Lewis every day. Soon they had a daughter, Tracie and two years later a son, Scott and they entered into the life of a modern middle class family. They lived in Lake Stevens before moving to Marysville, Wash. in 1980. Jane was a stay at home mom while her children were young. She then went to work at Farm Credit Services in Everett and Mt. Vernon, Wash. and then at BECU in Everett. She had many health issues the last seven to ten years of her life. She fought through them with a strong will and upbeat attitude. She wouldn't let them get the best of her, until she finally got tired of fighting. Jane was preceded in death by her mom and dad; sister, Sherry and brother, Bill; her step-dad, Ronald Ferri and her father-in-law, Lawrence and brother-in-law, Larry. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Bruce; daughter, Tracie (Duane). son, Scott (Kay); grandchildren, Andrew, Daniel, Amanda, Morgan and Matthew and step-grandchildren, Jeffery and Justin. Also survived by the loves of her life her great grandchildren, Madilynn, Raelynn, Hayden and Ryley. A private graveside service will be held at Machias Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held Sunday, March 29, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Normanna Lodge, 2725 Oakes Ave, Everett, WA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cerebral Palsy or any children's charity of your choice.
