Jean Ann Wrona, 84, passed away after a short 3-month illness on November 27, 2020. She is survived by her son, Duane Countryman (Snohomish), her daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Lon McDaniel (Mount Vernon), 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Jean graduated from Snohomish High School in 1954 and married Don Countryman a month later. They had two children and made their home at Fobes in Snohomish. She sold Avon when her kids were young and in 1964 became a bank teller in Snohomish. After taking business courses at Everett Community College, Jean was promoted to Branch Manager at various branches.
Jean later married Bud Wrona in 1976. He was the owner of Wrona Feed, which he relocated from Redmond to their established home in Lake Stevens. She retired from Banking in 1998 and helped run the family business. When her beloved Bud passed away in 2004, she became the solo owner and expanded her growing business to include horse boarding, an antique store, flower and wreath sales.
Jean's favorite hobbies were riding horseback, gardening, knitting and quilt making. She had a "green thumb" and successfully started and grew many plants, vegetables, herbs and flowers in her yard and greenhouse. She liked trail riding and camping with friends and fellow horseback riders. She also enjoyed warm days, spending time with cherished pets and living in her home.

My sons and I bought feed from her. For chickens, ducks and lambs. One of my sons, before driving, went from riding his bike, to a wheel barrow, to a riding lawn mower. All this was when I was doing chemo so couldn't drive him. He would come back with a 50 pound bag on/in whatever vehicle he "drove"! She wondered what he would arrive in next! I will miss her! We had lovely talks. Praying for all the family that are left.

Jean was my neighbor 50 years or so. Due to covid lock down I just heard of her passing. We shared some good times and a glass or two of wine. She will be missed in the neighborhood.

Jean was my precious Friend.
She gave me many gifts of friendship for which I am thankful.
These gifts were honesty, acceptance, compassion and laughter.
She was always there for me if I needed to talk thru a difficult situation. At times, she blessed me by reaching out to me as well.
A phone call between the two of us always ended up with both of us happier and light hearted.
I will hold her memory, and the memories we made together, dear to my heart.
I will love and miss her always and forever❤

My friendship with Jean started over 30 years ago. I was reminiscing tonight about the many topics that brought us together - from fashion to flowers, skincare to garden art, lipsticks, eyebrows, pet food, pet dishes, wreaths, and men. We laughed a lot and supported each other wholeheartedly in every venture either of us dared to try. Tonight I glanced through text messages with Jean for the last 10 plus years. Her words were always uplifting, positive, encouraging, and hopeful. Like this typical text from Jean:
“I am lucky to feel younger than my age. I admire your strength and love our friendship.”
I loved our friendship, too. I will miss Jean, along with so many others whose lives she touched. Even in her last days she showed her integrity, her good character, and expressed signs of hope, support, and healing.
Rest In Peace, Jean.
❤
Until we meet again.

Dear Family... all of you...
Jean loved like no other, her passion to help, to grow, to learn was never shadowed. I can not think of a time that she was not radiant. Her light filled a room and when you left, you had to take some of it with you. She loved her family, which was large! Jean included so many in her family that it was bursting at the seams, like her spirit. She is dancing with her Angels. She found great comfort in knowing her Angels were helping, watching and lovingly guiding her life. Just like she did for so many.
Proud to be in her larger family and missing her dearly,
Michol

Jean and I have been friends from her banking days. We networked together for over 20 years. I was her photographer for her business and personal needs. We shared many hobbies and much laughter. She taught me to make flower and twig wreaths, and we pressed flowers for greeting cards. Jean is an inspiration in aging gracefully while being full of vigor, energy and life. I am thankful for the time I spent with her and the creativity we shared. She was always in a state of growth and curiosity. I will miss her intelligence, her kindness, her grace and most of all her friendship. I know we will meet again.

Blessings to Duane, Lynn and family.
Jean Wrona was one of my closest friends. We talked on the phone several times a month. We would have lunch on her beautiful deck. I miss her laugh. It was contagious and I loved it! She was so full of life! Vibrant and good energy! I see her smiling face and hear her laugh when I close my eyes. I was going through my photos and keepsakes and found so many cards, letters and things she sent me mostly supporting my endeavors. She was always in my court backing me! She had so many great ideas and encouraged me continually to try them out. She was a courageous, beautiful, thoughtful and creative woman. I looked up to her. I miss her so. I will never forget Jean. She helped me grow! My home is filled with treasures she gave me. I have so many beautiful memories of Jean. I know she's dancing on the other side! Love you my friend!

Lynn and Duane , I am so very sorry. Jean and I shared birthdays and worked together for many years before we moved to Texas. We have stayed in contact all these years and when I didn’t hear from her at Christmas I knew something was wrong. Your Mom was such a wonderful person and I truly don’t know how to express my sadness. I loved your Mom and will miss her always.

Jean and I worked together in Snohomish in the 80’s and remained good friends ever since. She was a beautiful and creative woman, always pursuing new ideas and interesting activities. Jean listened and gave thoughtful advice. I will miss picking up the phone and hearing her voice, just like no time had passed.

Jean Graduated High School the year I was born, but you'd never know it, she was so young at heart. I think we met when she worked at the bank, but it's been so many years ago, I don't really remember not knowing her. She was fiesty, which is why we got on so well, Her love of animals and gardening was another. I will always remember her laugh and smile. What an amazingly strong, smart and kind women she always was. RIP my Friend.

Jean was a wonderful role model and special friend who always listened intently and without judgment. Her creativity shined with her floral business and she had a special love for animals and nature. She will be very missed but I know she is shining down on us from the heavenly realms.

I had the pleasure of many wonderful, fun horseback riding/camping trips with Jean, Bud and the whole gang over the years - each was an adventure! Jean was always smiling, laughing, and was more than a little mischievous (one of my favorite things about her). I always admired her strength and courage - she managed her own career, made her own decisions, and when Bud passed away, Jean got behind the wheel and drove their rig into the mountains herself and continued camping with the group. She was an amazing lady who I won't forget. Rest well, Jean... you've earned it!

Jean was one of my first friends in Washington. Our mutual love of horses brought us together. In fact, my first horse camping trip was with Bud and Jean. Many more followed, some great memories. I'll never forget when Jean, and her saddle came off her horse, and both landed in a creek! You should have seen her expression!! She was a special person and I cherished our friendship. She will be missed!
