Jefferey Clough Obituary

Jefferey Michael Clough

Jefferey Clough of Lake Stevens, Washington, died February 8, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born November 17, 1943 in Everett, WA. After attending Everett schools he had a 31 plus year career at Associated Sand and Gravel.
Jeff always had a warm and friendly smile and a twinkle in his eye for everyone he met and he was always watching out for the underdog. His passing leaves an empty space in the hearts of his family who loved him so dearly. Though he left this world much too soon, his incredible spirit lives on in those that knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Rhoda and Harold; sister, Laurie; brothers, Timothy and David.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Carolyn who feels extremely blessed to have been a part of Jeff's life; brothers, Stephen (Roxan) Gregory; sisters, Barbara Swanson, Judy (Hugh) Matheson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
An open house celebration of Jeff's life for friends and family will be held Sunday, March 8, from 1-4 p.m., at the VFW, 2711 Oakes Ave., Everett WA. We would love you to share your stories.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Snohomish County or The American Cancer Society.

Uncle Jeff, I miss you and I wish Danielle and I could've come home to see you one last time and to introduce you to your newest great niece, Drea. I want to believe that you are in a better place and that you are no longer in pain, but I'm having difficulty. I too remember how you'd always say "Rah Jo Rabbit" with a big smile on your face. I remember how much you loved your cats and how you'd sit in "YOUR" chair and "fish" with the cats. I remember taking Danielle to visit you and aunt Carolyn and how much fun she had playing with your Guinea pig. I remember calling you and Carolyn and telling you to look out your window while I waved to you from a boat. If it wasn't for you, I'd never have discovered the excitement of owning a police scanner, thanks. You loved football and it seemed like it didn't matter what teams were playing, you'd still watch and how ironic is it that the Pro-Bowl was on February 8th, which meant football season was officially over. I'm really glad you were my uncle and I'm glad you made Carolyn "officially" my aunt when you two finally tied the knot on Valentines Day...it took you long enough, just kidding. I hope you, Laurie and Tim aren't causing too much trouble up there and tell them "Hi" for me and Danielle. Also, say hi to Grandma and Grandpa. Danielle made me smile the other day when she told me she likes to think of you and your Guinea pig running towards each other with your arms wide open, like in the movies, and that you two are having fun once again. I really hope it's true that one day we will all be together again. To my family back home in Washington.....I miss and love you all. Aunt Carolyn....I'm so sorry and I love you....
Love Lisa, Danielle and Drea

Carolyn, Barb, Judy & Hugh;
I'm so sorry he's gone! It's amazing; I was just thinking of Jeff, thinking..he's beat this thing! Well, he did, actually. It took incredible strength and will to wage the battle he fought....he always did like a good fight.
He was a good, funny and loving man.
I know my Dad loved working with Jeff at AS&G; he enjoyed the good times they had..... they're probably together right now shootin' the bull, bending their elbows, laughing up a storm, both sets of eyes twinkling like sparklers! I like to think that is so.
Much love to you all in this time,

Uncle Jeff- I am so sad to see you go, but at least I know you are no longer in pain. You touched so many people in so many ways. You will be missed very dearly by all that knew you especially our family. I will always cherish the memories we had together especially the classic Rah-Jo Rabbit! That brings a smile to my face everytime I think of it. May you always know I love you and you will be in my heart forever. Thinking of you today and always.

Jeff was my boss at AS&G in the late 70's and I still remember what a great person he was to work for. If my father (Gordy Hauck) was still alive I know he'd have nothing but great things to say about Jeff as he knew him for many more years than I and I know he respected and cared about Jeff immensely.

Hello, im very sorry and I wish I was with the family. I miss him so much and I will NEVER forget spending time with my great uncle Jeff. All i have are the memories but they will last a lifetime. I know everyone is sad but a way to look at it is, he is with his guine pig. We all pray that he is happy and each day shining down on us with his love. It hurts not to be able to say goodbye, then I realize that I'm not. He will always be there for me to talk to when I need him. He was an incredibly good hearted man. Everytime I saw him he always had those plump, rosie cheeks, followed with a huge grin that makes you want to smile all the more. Uncle Jeff will be missed by many. I think that as happy as he looked, he had an amazing life full of laughter. I know he would not want the ones he loves (all of us) to be sad. Even though he is gone he knows we all love him very much and that our love for him will continue untill the end of time. We miss you uncle Jeff and I hope you are happy and lived you life to the fullest.
Love you all very much.
R.I.P uncle Jeff.

Haven't seen Jeff for years, but I have happy memories of listening to him "tell it like it is" while having a drink. What a fun, big hearted guy.
Thank God I got to enjoy his company.
