John's family (Mother Helen and Dad Perry) lived directly across the street from our family; we grew up attending the Congregational Church in common as well. John was a few years older than I but our families were friendly. John was always so nice, friendly, and inquiring of our family over the years. His dog Fritz was one of my favorite neighborhood pets of all time. When they moved a block away it seemed like "ten miles" but we kids were getting older by then, too, and only saw each other at church over the years. John's wife Kathy has always been sweet and friendly throughout our adult years at church when I came to visit with my parents who continued as members of the church. I am so sorry Kathy that John is gone. He was always a sweet person. My best to you and your family. I know you have had some rough times in recent years. God bless you!
