Joy Jeanette Hall, 74, of Arlington, WA passed away Sunday, November 7, 2021. Joy was born in Everett, WA on November 11, 1946 to Harvey and Ella Pace. While growing up, her father was in the United States Air Force and this allowed Joy to live in various countries including Japan and Canada. Joy's fondest memories include her family being stationed in Neah Bay, WA for a few years. During this time, Joy fell in love with the Native culture surrounding the area. Later her family received permanent orders back to Paine Air Force Base in Everett. Joy was happy to return home where she could reconnect with all of her aunts, uncles, and cousins. Joy graduated from Cascade High School with the class of 1964 and then married her husband, Clayton Hall, on October 2, 1965. Together they raised four wonderful children. Joy and Clay were married for 53 years until his passing in 2019. Joy worked at the Silver King Cafe in Snohomish, WA for over 20 years as a cook and manager. She always considered her coworkers and customers family. From there she went on to work at the Rivers Edge Cafe before moving on to Lil' Lulu's Cafe. After that Joy worked for the Bodey family who owned Bering Sea Fisheries in Alaska. She was the head cook at their base camp on the Yukon River in Emmonak, AK until her retirement. Anyone who knew Joy would agree her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the loves of her life. She enjoyed countless hours cooking and baking with them when they would come to visit their Nana. Joy was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Ella, son Daniel (Kristine), and brothers Daniel and Harvey. She is survived by her brother Jim (Virginia), children Buddy (Jeannie), Timm (Christian), and Jennifer, her grandchildren Ashley (Nathan), Brandon, Kylie, Bailey, Chloe, Tristen, and great-grandaughter, Audrey. Please join the family in remembrance of Joy on Sunday, November 14, 1pm at River Meadows Park 20416 Jordan Rd, Arlington, WA

Joy was such a sweet and heartwarming lady. She was there always in need whenever anyone needed a prayer or just to listen. I will miss her sweet dear smile that she always had and made everyone else smile to. Fly high now with Ella, Clay and all your other family and friends. We will dearly miss you.
