Joy Mae Hall

In loving memory of Joy Mae Hall of Arlington.
She was born September 9, 1942 in Buncombe County, North Carolina, daughter of Frank and Janet Ammons. She has lived in Arlington, Washington for a number of years.
Joy is survived by her husband, Marvin Hall of 54 years; a son, Carl (Tammie) Hall; daughters, Shannon and Monica Hall; sister, Frances (Melvin) Toalston of Mooringsport, Louisiana; and brother, Gene Ammons of Los Lunas, New Mexico; grandchildren, Barbra Jean and Roseanna; great grandchildren, Kaylynn, Bridget, Saya, James, and Autumn; and countless others who called her mom or grandma.
Joy loved her family more than anything. She enjoyed reading the Bible. She loved to read in general and watch movies. Joy loved being with family.
She grew up in the mountains of North Carolina. There she had fifty cousins to enjoy life with. It was like one huge family. She will be sadly missed by all of her family as well as all of the friends she has collected along the way.

I am sorry for your loss the Hall family. Mama Joy always took care of us growing up as teenagers. She was a caring loving person who always meant well. She is now with her heavenly father looking down at all of us saying she is now in peace and do not worry.

I have so many memories with my Grandma. Memories at Disneyland and Santa Cruz are some of my favorite, but I think the best was just sitting in her room for countless hours as she shared with me stories about her life. I am so glad she shared them with me. I could have listened to her for hours and I did! I miss and love my friend.

We didn't get to see Joy as much as we would have liked since we live halfway across the country, but it was always a great pleasure to visit with her and the entire family when we could get together. She was a very special lady, and we'll really miss her at the family reunions.

One of my favorite memories of Joy, and there are many, was when our two families went to Disneyland together. Joy was soooooooooooo much fun!!! Even when the sky ride stalled over the Matterhorn. Joy was a good friend and I miss her.

I felt sad to hear of Joy's passing but I have many nice memories of Joy from years ago! She was a very kind and patient person and a very loving mother and wife. It's comforting to know she is with the author of her favorite book - the Bible. I feel blessed to have spent time with your mother/wife, my friend.

I remember at a family wedding when Marvin and Joy's children were small how patient and loving Joy was with them. I can see they learned this too. She was a good mother.
