Karen McColl Obituary

Karen Diane McColl, 75, passed away in her sleep on September 15th, 2025, after a short battle with cancer. She was born on June 27th 1950 to Leston (Bud) and Melba Evans. Karen was a beloved sister, mother, grandmother, great-granmother, aunt, and friend.

Growing up in Snohomish, Karen graduated from Snohomish High School in 1968. After high school, she started working for Scott Paper Company, retiring from Kimberly Clark (Scott Paper) in 2010. Karen was an active member of the FIrst Baptist Church (Bridge Church). She enjoyed gardening, feeding the birds and squirrels, thrifting, and frequent gatherings with family.

Karen was preceeded in death by her husband, Bill McColl, parents Leston (Bud) and Melba Evans, along with her younger sister, Kathy Nelson. She is survived by her children George (Christina) McColl, Ann (Brion) Henault, and Adam McColl. Her siblings Mike (Peggie) Evans and Linda Evans and brothers-in-law Ted McColl and Tom Nelson. Her legacy also includes her grandchildren and great-grandchildren along with nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins.

Karen devoted her life to her family and friends, creating lasting memories through family trips, camping adventures, cheering at sporting events, birthday parties, and sharing laughter at work lunches.

Honoring her wishes, no formal services are planned. She instead asked that friends remember her in their own way. Karen is dearly loved and will be dearly missed.
