Kenneth Stanness Obituary

Kenneth Stanness

Kenneth Stanness born in Sunderland, England June 7, 1930 passed in Marysville, WA on August 5, 2012 at his home with his wife, Kathleen and daughter, Tanya by him. Ken had lived a long life of 82 years; he suffered from Rheumatoid Arthritis which took him from his family and sent him to be with the Lord. Ken lived a very interesting life, he graduated from Reading University in England with a degree in Engineering. He has been a soldier, actor, writer, fisherman, pig farmer, donut bakery owner and property owner. His favorite pass times were fishing, reading and he loved animals of all kinds. In his lifetime he was blessed to have been able to breed ferrets, birds and honey bees and enjoy his vegetable gardens. Ken was a great joker, he would make jokes, dance a jig and sing a song if it would make you smile, then turn around and say "That will cost you $5.00" and then laugh. He was a loving husband, a patient and proud father and papa. His grandchildren, Rachel, Jonathan and Jason Jr. adored him.
He is also survived by one brother; and three sisters in England. Ken and his daughter would always joke and refer to one another as King Farouk and Queen of Egypt...to his daughter he was and always will be "King Farouk"...Dad would always say.."Time to cogitate". Dad you will forever be missed and loved by us all...see you on the potato farm...
