Kris Juozapaitis Obituary
Kris was born on February 10, 1964, to Gordon and Janice Reykdal in Everett, Washington. She spent much of her early life in Everett, attending Eisenhower Middle School and Cascade High School. Kris went on to attend Boise State University where she played basketball and obtained a bachelor's degree in education. After graduating Kris became a teacher and made her way back to Everett to teach at her own beloved middle school, Eisenhower. This is where she shared her love of basketball as the women's head coach. Kris continued to teach and coach for many years, shaping the lives of so many young athletes and students. She always wanted what was best for them. She retired from Centennial Middle School in 2024.
Kris was not only a remarkable educator and coach, but a devoted mother and wife. She loved nothing more than spending time with her family, especially around the holidays. Kris made sure that every celebration was picture perfect and every guest felt loved.
She is survived by her husband Michael Juozapaitis, daughter Abbigail Juozapaitis, son Samuel Juozapaitis (Lexie), and dogs Archie and Ash. Please join us for the celebration of life at Prince of Peace Church in Everett on Saturday, November 1st, at 11am followed by a social gathering. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Swedish Cancer Institute.
