Margaret Siler Stoen

1935 - 2022

March 5, 1935 -

December 30, 2022 Born in Leavenworth, WA, eventually moving to Monroe, WA where she lived her entire life.

Margaret was sister to Sonny (Howard) Derifield (Susan) and mom to 4 children - Steve Odegard, Al "Bub" Odegard (Annie), Lisa Frost (Jim) and Scott Siler.

She was grandmother to Angie, Jamie, Lacie, Nikki, Ashley, Shannon, TJ and Shane.

She was a great-grandmother to 13 great grandkids, an honor and title that she cherished.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Leafy Derifield and sadly by her sons Steve and Scott and SIL Jim.

She spent over 35 years bartending, most of which were spent at the Silver King where she retired from when she was 60.

Margaret was a sports enthusiast, from a young age. She played Highschool tennis and was a skilled bowler in her teens. As an adult she was an avid Seahawks fan, watching the Hawks play from the comfort of her home, standing in front of her couch too anxious to sit. But it was the game of golf that she was most passionate about, playing golf as long as she could.

Margaret loved many things - traveling, especially to AZ, getting dressed up to wine and dine, hosting friends and family, sunshine, lipstick, the color white, gardening and going "up town".

She filled her 87 years with so many experiences, stories and memories that she loved to share. She was the first to say she had a great life and a lot of fun. She was strong and unafraid of anyone or anything, including Alzheimer's. A trait to be admired for sure.

There will be a graveside service at IOOF in Monroe on Thursday, January 5th at 1:00pm and a celebration of life on Saturday, February 4th, details to follow.
