Mike was born April 9, 1945 in Everett, WA, and passed away peacefully after a short battle with cancer on April 29, 2021 with his daughters at his side. He was the youngest of seven children. He devoted his career to be a public servant and retired after 23 years with the Mercer Island Police Department. He enjoyed playing softball, being a member of the Blue Knights, gardening, and playing cards with high school friends. Hunting was Mike's life-long passion which he enjoyed with both family and friends. He is proceeded in death by his parents, Tom and Ruth Callaghan, and five siblings. Mike is survived by his brother Bill; son Michael (Tanya); daughters Bridget (Trent) and Tami (Vance); grandchildren Kaitlyn, Alexandra, Michaela (William), Allyson, Tiernan, Brenden, and Nicholas (Sophia). He also leaves behind two sister in laws and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Washington State Hunters Education or Providence Hospice of Snohomish County.
