Nicholi E. Melum
1958 - 2021

Nicholi Earl Melum was born on February 25,, 1958 and passed away on September 6, 2021.

Nic said many times that he was like a white tail deer. He roamed a bit, but he'd say that he'd never lived more than 50 miles from where he was born in Arlington WA.

Nic was an excellent provider for both of his wives and sons. Paige Marie Richards and her son Isaac Melum as well as Sarah A. Melum and her son Garner Melum.

Nic is survived by his older sister Vicki Adams (RIP Tim, Vicki's husband), her oldest child John Adams (SCSO deputy) and his wife and family; Malinda McCarter-Adams and her family; also, Nic's beloved niece Kimberly and her family. Nic's niece Kimberly was daughter of Marlene, Nic's oldest sister who preceded him in death; also, Don & Skip Melum, Nic's older brothers, crossed the finish line before him. There are a lot of Melums, Dave and family, Skip and Don's wives survive him, too; Jimmy and Sean Adams, too.

Mark Twain said that the two greatest days of your life are the day you were born and the day you realize why youo are here. Sadly, with great sadness, I think Nic realized his role the day he died. That old civil war saying, it doesn't matter what side you were on just so long as you did your job.

Nic in life and in death was just "doing his job." He was playing the part/role God assigned him, that God made him for such a time as this. He had no choice, potter and clay. Just too bad that you are not here to tell the greatest story of your life. (He'd be at work now, if able, telling exactly how he looked in death.) LOL What a "bleeping" man. Spirit of self will only take you so far. What a man God made. 1 Corinthians 13. Love.

It only hurts for a little while after you hit your knees in repentance to Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. It's the pain (if you are honest with yourself) you see in your mind's eye, your sins, the ones only you know about, being laid on the back of such a gentle Lamb. Oh, please give OUR GREAT, GOOD GOD an ear! Pick up your crosses. Send the eagle down, dive with him in terrible and swift eternal prayer. Psalm 115: "Not unto us, O LORD; not unto us, but to Thine be the glory for Thy faithfulness and love. Prayer the way God intended, terrible and swift. Get your red badge of courage. Let's go!!! Let's run to win U.S. In Jesus' mighty name. Amen.

Thank you, Lord God, that Nicholi Earl Melum will not have died in vain. John 4:23-24. Here! Here! Is the church out here? Spirit and truth!

With thought, tears, prayer, and hope, Granny S.A.M.

R.I.P., Nicholi Earl Melum, Captain Happy, Mr. Christian, Uncle Nick, Pawpa. You will be missed by many.

I wrote that. Now I will write this. That was a tough 21, twenty-one years of marriage.
