Patricia "Pat" Cordova

1937 - 2025

Pat Cordova a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a tireless advocate for her community, passed away surrounded by family.

Pat was preceded in death by her beloved daughter Jean, her husband Paul and her brother Ralph. She is survived by her children: Mike (Lynn), Ed (Lori), Tim (Paula), Mark (Crystal), Lyda (Mike), Theresa (Karen), Pam (Craig), Mary (Scott), Carol (Rob) and her seventh daughter, Zepha (Patrick) Monks. Pat's legacy continues through her 23 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Pat dedicated her life not only to her family but also to the city she loved. She served as a Mountlake Terrace City Councilperson for 17 years, where her leadership and vision helped shape the community for generations. Her passion for civic engagement extended beyond elected office-she was a driving force behind the creation of the Community Homework Center, providing a safe and supportive space for students, and their parents, to learn, as well as the Neutral Zone, a gathering place for youth that reflected her deep belief in opportunity and belonging for all.

Pat will be remembered for her unwavering dedication to her family, her fierce advocacy for her community and her ability to bring people together. Her home was always open, her table always full and her heart always generous.

Her family takes comfort in knowing that her spirit lives on in the countless lives she touched, the institutions she built and the love she instilled in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Pat's life will be held at a later date, where we can all gather to honor her remarkable journey and enduring legacy.
