Paul Ebert Obituary

Paul Joseph Ebert passed away peacefully in his sleep, during the early morning hours of August 17th, 2024.

Paul was born June 21st, 1954, in Everett to Dr. Joseph and Mary Ebert on his mother Mary's birthday, which made for both great birthday celebrations and a special closeness/bond Paul and Mom shared throughout life.

To his many friends, he was known as "Polly, Pablo or Doc". Always warm and friendly, Paul could light up a room with his ability to converse and share stories.

Growing up, Paul was part of the "Rucker Hill Gang" and was always ready for an afterschool adventure to the Canyon, the Eagles Nest or to the Gully. Aside from a couple of years in Bend Oregon to ski, Paul had lived in Everett his entire life.

Paul loved to drive and ride, from bikes, to boats, to motorcycles, to Porsches, to airplanes, to trucks and to busses. He was most happy when he was either behind the wheel or upon them.

Following a successful career in insurance, Paul retired and provided loving care of his aging mother until her passing.

Paul leaves his older brother C.J and sister Theresa, niece Elle, nephew Evan and many other "relatives" of the Ebert Clan. Paul was preceded in death by both parents and by his older siblings Dr. Bill, Jim, Tom and Maureen.

A private memorial will be held on "the beach" to share a few memories and lay his ashes upon a place he loved and felt best. He was loved and he will be missed.

Paul was a family friend and I was fortunate to grow up with him. I´m sorry he died too early.

He made me laugh and he was full of mischief. See you again, my friend. Say hi to all your loved ones and friends on the other side of the celestial divide.

Sending love to his brother, CJ, and his many loved ones whether they are close family or friends to Paul. Rest in Peace...you were loved

During high school, Paul, Matt & I went duck hunting out around Ebby/Smith Island. We walked around not seeing many ducks and shot the Browning 12/16 GA. During drive to, or on arrival at next spot, the shotgun was discovered missing. Paul was concerned. Turned the car around and searched road side grasses and ditches. We found it, after it slide from car roof, somewhere out laying in wild wet grass. I still see the image in memory today. Not sure if it was Paul's or Matt's gun, but i bet he still had it for all these 52 years later.
