I thought I added this but going to add again!!! I was there at the beginning of Rex and Aletas relationship!! We went to a party at Marina Luepkes house and I remember looking everywhere for Aleta, finally found her in backseat of Rex's car with Rex making out. I knew that night that it was a match and they would be together for a long time!!! High school sweethearts. Rex will be so missed by many.

Merle A Humphreys,... I am so sorry that you lost your BEST friend! There is no replacing a person like REX M. HARRIS! As I am not close to the Hunting , Fishing group that you shared, I still feel a loss in the family. Rex I know we only crossed paths a couple dozen times 'ish, You were an inspiration to my father. I could never fathom how many peoples that you have left behind......GOD SPEED, REX I will never forget the greatness you spread on this planet! Thank You! You can NOT be replaced. And you will never be forgotten.

I used to call Rex at all hours of the night during the week and weekends for difficult, emergency piping or welding repairs. Rex would usually come in and rescue us from extreme circumstances in the Boiler House. If he was busy or otherwise not up to it he was one of these guys who would say: "If you can't get anyone else, call me back."
What a skilled craftsman. What a great guy.
I am so sorry.

My condolences to Rex's family. I was fortunate to have known Rex at first as my lead man as an apprentice pipe fitter, then as a Journeyman. He was a great man and such a funny guy, we had a lot of laughs and good times at the mill. I'll never forget Rex and things he taught me. Rest in Peace Rex.
