1936 - 2021

Robert D Bonner March 22, 1936 to Sept 5, 2021.

Bob was a wonderful husband to Joyce, married 66 years. A great father to Diane Jasper (deceased) Nancy Sawyer, Beverly (Dave) Wilson and Robert W Bonner. Grandfather to 9 and great grandfather to 14 with one coming in October.

Family was an important part of Bob's life, along with his many interests. Four years in the US Navy, 43 years at Scott Paper Co/ Kimberly Clark, over 50 years with Snohomish County Search and Rescue and the Sheriff's Office where he earned his title Deputy Sheriff, countless hours dedicated to the Everett Museum and 66 years of being a family man, filled with integrity and love. He will be sorely missed by all.

Bob and Joyce opened their home many times over the years, to provide extra love and guidance to grandsons, nieces, nephews and anyone else who needed their support.

Services are being planned for Bob and his Daughter Diane, together around Christmas time.

Donations may be made to Snohomish County Search and Rescue at WWW.SCVSAR.Org . or Delta Baptist Church at

Bob big cousin! He was the oldest of the 6 H.E. Bonner Grandchildren. We spent a lot of time together as our growing up years. So many good times....visiting back and forth from Everett and north Seattle. (Before we were Seattle!) I am so happy that we remained close...all our lives.....and enjoyed meeting for lunch or dinner in recent years.....and traveled to Alaska together where 4 of us cousins could be together again. Bob was a great man, fun to be with.....But most of all a good family man....and a good husband to Joyce. We always were impressed with his work with Search and Rescue where he could help many who were in need. He is already missed, and I am sure he and sister Janice, and cousin John are reunited in heaven. We pray for the family during this time. Cousin Mary and Ken

Joyce and family, I´m so sorry to learn of the passing of Bob. I truly enjoyed working and visiting and laughing with Bob. All of us in the machine shop teased him all the time and he enjoyed it so much. When the chips were down he always stepped up and used his exceptional talents to help get the machinery at the Mill up and running. Also, I could always count on him having an extra snickerdoodle in his lunchbox (which I was always first in line to test for quality ;). )

Sorry to read of Bob passing , he was one of the finest men I have ever known. We spent countless hrs. And days on many Search and Rescue missions . He stopped by my home often just to say "Hi" after I retired from SCSO . Thought of him often after we moved to Montana. God bleed all of Bob´s family and friends RIP my friend.

I was at the Bonner's house occasionally as a teenager and Mr. Bonner came home from work and hugged and kissed Mrs. Bonner right there in the middle of the kitchen! I was a little shocked to see my Sunday school teacher hugging and kissing a man I barely knew. ;) He had the kindest smile. God Bless you Mr. B.
