Robert Twitchell Obituary

Robert R. (Bob) Twitchell&bb& Robert R. (Bob) Twitchell passed away October 17, 2002 in Edmonds, WA of complications from diabetes.&pe&He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be interred with honors at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent on Friday, October 25th at 11:00 a.m.&pe&He served with valor in the United States Marine Corps in the South Pacific during World War II. He was twice wounded in action and received two Purple Hearts.&pe&He was born May 12, 1923 in Ankerton, Alberta, Canada to Chester and Olivia Twitchell. He served as Chief of Police for Snohomish, WA and was elected as Sheriff of Snohomish County where he served for several terms. He was a successful building contractor in Bellingham, WA and Everett, WA.&pe&He is survived by a loving family who include: wife Barbara and her children MaryAnn Pagalia and Michael Pagalia; his family by wife Marion Twitchell, son and daughter-in-law Bob and Mina Twitchell with grandchildren Sara and Alice; daughter Robin and Gerald Olden with grandchildren Steven, Sommer, Jeff, Matthew, Gerald, and Lee; son Michael and grandchildren Erika, and Blake. He leaves his siblings Doris Twitchell, Eugene Twitchell, Glen Twitchell, and Olivia Cockburn. He will be missed by his many nieces, nephews, friends and admirers. He was a good man who loved his God, his country, and his family. Semper Fi!
