Stephen William Baker

1951 - 2025

Stephen "Steve" William Baker, 73, of Arlington, Washington, passed away peacefully at his home on January 18, 2025. Born on November 15, 1951, in Akron, Ohio, Steve was the eldest son of William and Barbara Baker. His family moved to San Diego, California, where he graduated from San Diego High School in 1970.

Steve began his career with Baker Electricians, where he honed his skills and developed a passion for construction and craftsmanship. In pursuit of new opportunities, Steve moved his family to Arlington, Washington, where he became a respected general contractor, known for his dedication and integrity in every project.

A man of deep faith and compassion, Steve was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Arlington, where he built lasting friendships and served his community with kindness and humility. He proudly served as City Councilman for the city of Arlington. He was known for his warm smile, love of family, and willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Steve is survived by his devoted wife of 31 years, Priscilla, his three siblings, Linda Kroeze (Ken) of Arlington, WA, Arlene Baker and Dan Baker, both of Savannah, GA and his three children, Curtis Baker (Lynn) of Bothell, WA, Andrea Harrison (Andrew) of Burlington, WA, and Ethan Baker of Everett, WA. He was a proud grandfather to three grandchildren, Nathen (Sharely), Felicia, and Tayler, and a cherished great-grandfather to Jason, Sayd, Brian, Kiara and McKenna.

Steve's legacy of love, faith, and hard work will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and all who knew him.

Steve will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
