Stephen Peterson Obituary

Stephen W. Peterson

Stephen W. Peterson of Lake Stevens, WA, passed away unexpectedly on November 1, 2008. He spent the previous evening with his family and was happy and content holding his first grandchild, Maybelline Peterson. Steve was born in Seattle, WA on February 18, 1964 to Gary and Phyllis Peterson. Steve graduated from Meadowdale High School in 1982 and received his bachelors in software engineering from the University of Washington on June 11, 2000. He had a successful job at Fluke and was employed for 25 years. Steve loved his family very much, especially his wife Cathy. Cathy was his whole life and he hers. They loved going to Hawaii and were planning on going again November 20, 2008, for their 25th anniversary. Steve also watched over his parents, Gary and Phyllis Peterson always making sure that they had what they needed and taking them out to breakfast. Steve was a very loving and caring dad; he was always sharing his logic and helped them keep things balanced in their lives. As an older brother, Steve always knew how to listen and put things into perspective.
Steve is survived by his wife, Cathy; son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Nicole Peterson; son and fiancé, Daniel Peterson and Emily Swain; granddaughter, Maybelline Peterson; parents, Gary and Phyllis Peterson; sister and brother-in-law, Sarah and Greg Ensey; and nephews, Zachary and Jacob Ensey.
A Celebration of Life is planned for Steve at 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, November 8, 2008, at Stillaguamish Valley Pioneer Hall at 20722 67th Ave. N.E., Arlington.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the National Stroke Association.

Steve, we will all miss you. We love you so much!

Our son. He was so dear to us, always advising us, helping us, loving us, always bringing his mother flowers which she loved so much.
When his mother had her 2nd and 3rd stroke, Steve took us into his home both times, and helped us any way he could so she could recover.
as best she could.
The pain in our hearts is almost unbearable, we miss him so, and always will. We pray the lord will be with him, he was a good man and wonderful son.

Steve will certainly be missed. As a coworker, I have always been impressed with Steve's ability to get thing done and what a great person to work with! Now after attending the memorial service on Saturday it is obvious these traits were passed on.

Our hearts go out to his family.

I want to express my deepest sympathy for your loss and pray you will remember one of my favorite quotes: "When the sunshine of God's love meets the showers of our sorrows, the rainbow of promise appears."

Iv always admired Steve for his dedication to his job, but more so for the way he spoke of his family.
Everything he did was for his family. Steve was a wonderful friend who got enjoyment out of helping me at work and discussing life issues.

Cathy,
I can't begin to know how you must be feeling at this moment. I was so shocked to hear of Steve's passing so suddenly. I want you to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers as Steve has been since I left Fluke in 2000.

Steve was always so helpful to me in the years that I worked with him. We had many a great conversation and laugh. I have missed him more than you know over the years.

May you find peace and comfort in the knowledge that you had a wonderful relationship and that he is with you in spirit always. Let me know if there is anything that I can do for you during this tough time and I will be there.
