Vicki Whetzel

1949 - 2026

Vicki Whetzel, 76, of Pullman, passed away February 20, 2026 due to complications of Alzheimer's disease. A memorial service to honor her life will be held April 11th at 11:00 am at Concordia Lutheran Church in Pullman. Pastor Matt Gulseth will officiate.

Vicki was born November 16, 1949 in Bellingham, Washington to Raymond Carlyle and Jacqueline Atterbury. She married Rick Whetzel on July 15, 1972 and they made their home in Lynnwood, Washington. Vicki worked for the Boeing Corporation on special projects doing data input in their Renton, Washington facility. She and Rick divorced in 1981 and Vicki continued to live in Lynnwood. She changed career paths and was working for the Lasher Law Firm in downtown Seattle as a legal assistant. She enjoyed working in her flower beds.

Vicki moved to Pullman, Washington in 2021 to be closer to family that lived in Pullman. She is survived by her son Chad Whetzel and his wife Katie along with their daughter Alvina in Pullman. She also has a step-son, Trevor Whetzel and wife Sarah in Monroe, Washington; and their daughters Maddie, Tori, and Ainslie. Vicki has a brother Rocky Atterbury and his wife Lynn and their 2 daughters, her nieces, Amanda (Bart) Gibson and Sarah (Jason) Webber.
