William "Bill" Charles Geiger (92) of Mukilteo, Washington, passed away on January 6, 2023.
Bill was born and raised in Tacoma, Washington and attended Stadium High School. He graduated from Western Michigan University where he met the love of his life, Joan ("Jo").
Following his service in the Korean War, Bill and Jo were married in 1954. They moved to Everett, Washington where Bill worked at Weyerhaeuser for 33 years - initially as Technical Director, and then as Regional Safety Director.
Bill had a wonderful retirement - he enjoyed many fun travels including annual trips to Hawaii, played endless rounds of golf, rooted for all the Seattle sports teams, and always loved gatherings with friends and family.
He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. A man of high integrity and great character, Bill was often described as caring and dignified - a "true gentleman."
Bill was preceded in death by Joan, his wife of 66 years. He is survived by children Kim Yale and Kyle Geiger, grandchildren Nathan, Kate, Kelli, John, Kira, James and Krista, and great grandchildren Greta, Cece, Elizabeth and Milo.

My Dad, Greg Mitchell, was just recounting some experiences with his golfing foursome in Everett. I recall visiting one summer and caddying for my dad. Bill, Ernie Guetlin and I were carrying on so much that my Dad told us to hush while he was tee-ing off! They all worked at Weyerhaeuser together. We are so sorry for your loss and the late condolence.

I knew bill from Stadium class of 1948 and worked with him at Weyerhaeuser in Everett. Jo & Bill had many Elks' Club Wed & Fri dinners with LeAnn & Gene Johnson. We found this sad news when our card was returned 12/28.

I was saddened to hear of Bills passing . I cut Bills hair for many many years. Bill was a favorite of mine , very sweet and a true gentleman of the times. Very kind, and was always helpful, if need be. I always enjoyed his sense of humor, and friendly conversation . He will be missed .

Kim and Kyle, I am so sorry for your loss. Your Dad and my dad, Bill Wilson worked together at Weyerhaeuser. The four of them were great friends and loved golfing together. My dad Bill passed on 6 years ago, my mother Karla Wilson, just passed away on New Years Eve 2023. They are all back together now, chasing around those little white balls.

Your dad made a lasting impression with his trainings. I was a summer hire at Weyerhaeuser in the late 1970s and I still remember not to stand on a swivel chair to reach something. "Safety First"! Actually my dad was also a long time Weyerhaeuser employee (Dan Rose). May your memories of your mom and dad bring you joy and peace.
