When I first started working with Snohomish County Tomorrow (SCT) I was delighted to get to know Bill as the chairperson of the Community Advisory Board (CAB). Bill was a calming, reasonable influence amidst many pressing and energetic voices at SCT. He often shared, at key points in SCT's debates, his considerable experience from years working in government agencies, and he had great influence in the outcome. We shared a sense of humor at the unexpected and sometimes off-base events and conversations arising in the course of the year's work program. He was a knowledgeable leader of great integrity as well as compassion. I missed touching base regularly with him when he left to give full support to his wife, though I agreed with his priorities. My condolences and prayers for healing to you, his family and close community.

Bill was a quiet, reliable, foundational presence in many activities at St. Matthew Church in Silver Spring, MD, lending his expertise to many of the church activities and his friendship to all. His daughters inherited these characteristics to the benefit of their friends and Everett Presbyterian Church. We feel very privileged to have had him and the whole family in our lives.
He is greatly missed, and we extend our condolences to his whole family.
May the Lord bless you and keep you all in His love.
