Gerard Dufault Obituary

NORTH ATTLEBORO – Gerard “Gerry” Dufault, 69, of High Street died early Tuesday morning, January 24, 2006 in his home surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of Judith (Ferioli) Dufault.

Born February 11, 1936 in North Attleboro, he was a son of the late Hector who died last November and Aline (Dargis) Dufault who died last July.

He previously worked for 34 years at the Foxboro Company and last June retired from the Waters Corporation in Milford where he worked as a machinist for 17 years.

A lifelong resident of North Attleboro, Mr. Dufault graduated from Sacred Heart Elementary School and was a 1954 graduate of North Attleboro High School. He served the United States Air Force for four years during the Korean War.

Gerry was giving with his time, volunteering for many years at Madonna Manor Nursing Home and worked as a mentor of disabled individuals from the Wrentham State School. He was a lifelong communicant of Sacred Heart Church and was an avid outdoorsman who loved nature. He also enjoyed raising homing pigeons in his backyard. Most of all he was devoted to his family and grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, survivors include two sons, Stephen and his wife, Kelian of Taunton and Jeffrey and his wife Jennifer of North Attleboro; a daughter, Pamela and her husband Tom Pavlik of Medway; a brother, Charles P. Dufault of North Attleboro; a sister, Simone Larochelle of Cumberland, RI; grandchildren, Kaleigh and Tyler Pavlik, Kevin, Korey, Gabirella and Madison Dufault.

Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.

He was brother of the late Anne Hyland.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 28 at 10 O’clock a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, Church Street. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Attleboro Falls. Visiting hours are omitted. Arrangements entrusted to the Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the North Attleboro Animal Shelter, 43 North Washington Street, North Attleboro, MA 02760.
