John J. Roncka

John J. Roncka "Jack", 79, of Westport passed away March 19, 2021 at his home, surrounded by his family. Born in Fall river, he was the son of the late John J. and Irene (Edwards) Roncka. Mr. Roncka was a Durfee High School graduate in 1960, 1963 he graduated from Bryant College. After graduating college, he went on to join the Army National Guard. From there, he joined his father in the very successful optical business John J. Roncka Vision Center in Dartmouth, a family business they owned for 75 years. He was an avid beachgoer, actively body surfing until the age of 78. He enjoyed playing golf and tennis, playing his organ, riding his motorcycle, spending time with his family, and being in the company of his friends. Survivors include his children: John Roncka, III and his wife Robin of Tiverton and Kristin Moniz and her husband John of Tiverton; his grandchildren: John Roncka, IV, Jordan Moniz, Taylor Moniz and Jenna Rose Roncka. The mother of his children Cynthia Velozo. Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at 9 AM from the Boyko Memorial Funeral Home, 709 Broadway Fall River, MA 02724 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at Good Shepherd Parish, S.
