Paul Peloquin Obituary

Paul J. Peloquin, age 86, of Fall River, passed away July 7th, 2017 unexpectedly at his home. He was the husband of the late Claire Y. (Gagnon) Peloquin and the late Lorraine L. (Charron) Giroux Peloquin. Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Joseph Peloquin and the late Blanche (Beliveau) Peloquin. He was a graduate of Msgr. Prevost High School class of 1947, and the Thibodeau Business College. He proudly served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Peloquin worked at the Fall River Electric Light Company and later at Raytheon Corporation where he spent 25 years as a Systems Analyst supervisor. He was a member of St. Annes parish. Paul was also a member of the Fall River Rod and Gun club and enjoyed sailing and reading. Pauls greatest love in life was spending time with his family and friends. He was ready to lend a helping hand at a moments notice to anyone who needed it. He was known for providing transportation for his children, grandchildren or friends whenever and wherever they needed it, right up until the day he passed away. He will surely be missed at many of the area restaurants where he was a regular customer and known to treat many a family member or friend to a meal. His generosity was unsurpassed. Among many things, his family will miss his daily phone calls to check on everyone, including the pets. He is survived by two sons, Paul J. A. Peloquin and his wife Junice of Fall River, and Robert L. Peloquin and his wife Maureen of Westport, MA; Two step-daughters, Suzanne M. Audette of Freetown, MA and Michele L. Cardeiro and her husband Patrick Cardeiro of Westport, MA; Eight grandchildren Jessica, Cara, and Nicholas Peloquin, Brent and Andrew Cardeiro, and Eric, Leanne, and Evan Audette; two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased at an early age by his brother Gerard. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 12, at 09:00 from Boule Funeral Home, 615 Broadway, Fall River followed by a funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at Holy Trinity Church, 951 Stafford Rd. Fall River. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, July 11th from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. www.boulefuneralhome.com.

Paul was a great pal of my father's, also a Paul. They both passed in the same year. He was a sympathetic listener, gave excellent advice and a lot of fun to be with. R.I.P.

I always liked (even when I didn't agree!) reading the articles and links that he posted to help keep us "in the know"; sometimes I still type his name in the "to" line when I find something that he would have enjoyed, forgetting that he's gone; but then I think that, being Paul, someway, some how, he's still up to date on what's happening, and I wish I could get his take on it. RIP Paul - you had a greater impact on our life than you might have known, and you are still very much missed.

I was so very sorry to see Paul's obituary; my father, my husband and I all worked with him at Raytheon and while we all butted heads at time, we knew we could respect, trust and rely on his decisions and good sense. With deepest sympathy.

To Paul, Bob and your entire family. I send my condolences. Aunty Claire and Uncle Paul will always hold a special place in my heart. There has never been a 4th of July that has gone by that I don't think of the great fun we had at the Peloquins on the pond, our parents laughing and having fun together, "the gang" sparklers and rides in the boat. What a beautiful loving family you all are. You live in my memories and heart always. Much much love, Lynn Walsh

A great man and great family. He will be sorely missed by many. When I think of Paul Senior I think of his bueatiful sail boat and the joy it brought him.

My condolences to cousins Paul and "Bobby" and your families. Our families spent most Sunday's together on Spencer St. for many years...swimming, boating, water skiing, fishing, cookouts, wiffle ball, ice skating, watching N.Y. Giants football, etc. Uncle Paul and Aunt Claire were great hosts always. With love and appreciation for the good times we all shared and more importantly your own great memories with your dad.
