Robert J. Bisson

Robert J. "Bob" Bisson, 61, of Fall River passed away May 8, 2021 at his home with his wife and faithful companion, Bert by his side. He was the loving husband of Anne C. (Perry) Bisson to whom he had been married for 19 years. Born in Fall River, he was the son of Marilyn H. Richards of Acushnet and the late Raymond J. Bisson. Bob was the third generation to own and operate Bisson Oil of Fall River, having taken over from his father in 1996. He was a competitive cyclist who traveled to races up and down the east coast. He had been a member of the SpinArts racing team. As an expert rider, he won multiple championships over the years. When not working or racing, he enjoyed reading about American history and was a member of the Fall River Historical Society. Above all else, Bob loved vacationing with his wife in Kennebunkport, ME and spending time with his family and friends. Along with his wife, mother and dog, he is survived by his siblings: Susan Pavao (husband: Thomas) of Fall River, Janet Souza (husband: Brian) of Westport, Donald Bisson of Fall River and Diane Fontaine (companion: Kevin Cadieux) of Fairhaven; his mother-in-law: Mary C. Perry (late husband: Gilbert) of Taunton; his brother-in-law: James G. Perry of Taunton; many nieces and nephews. Memorial service to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Thursday, May 13, 2021 at 7 PM at Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 North Main St. Fall River, MA 02720.
