Rock Hill, South Carolina - Mrs. Carol Parrish Oliver, 76, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2023 at her home.
A service to celebrate the life of Carol will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732 with Rev. Ray Jones, Dr. Jim Stocks and Rev. Aubrey Smith officiating. A private family burial will be held prior to the service.
Carol was born in Rock Hill, SC to the late Clarence Jack Parrish and the late Frances Snipes Parrish. Family was her life and she loved spending time with them whenever possible. She especially enjoyed beach trips, family gatherings and attending her granddaughters' sporting and school events. Carol had a strong faith and love for people and was a member of Celebration Place Church of the Nazarene. She was the widow of Grady Franklin Oliver, Sr. to whom she was happily married to for 50 years.
Carol is survived by her son, Grady F. Oliver, Jr. and his wife, Andrea; two granddaughters, Emily Oliver Branham (Jason) and Katherine Oliver Gibson (Luke); her sisters, Judith Stocks (Jim) and Norma Smith (Aubrey); two brothers, Richard Parrish (Donna) and Jeff Parrish (Beverly) and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Carol's name to Celebration Place Church of the Nazarene, PO Box 36234, Rock Hill, SC 29732. The family would also like to recognize Hospice and Community Care for the wonderful care they provided her husband, Grady. Please forward those memorials to the Wayne T. I just heard this morning that Carol had passed. She tried to call me a couple of weeks ago and left a voicemail but I couldn't get her back I am so sorry for your loss and I am so sorry I missed her call. We grew up together at church. In our younger years we had a lot of fun in youth groups. Special memories, She will be missed. Prayers for her family.

Grady and Andrea, I was so saddened when Patrick called us about Carol. She was such a beautiful person, inside and out and always made everyone feel special. My heart goes out to you both and to the girls. She will certainly be missed.
