Clifford Sprouse Obituary

Clifford Manuel Sprouse Jr. CATAWBA - Mr. Clifford Manuel Sprouse Jr., 67, of Catawba, S.C., passed away Friday, March 28, 2014, at his home. Services for Mr. Sprouse will be 3 p.m. Thursday, April 3, 2014, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, S.C., with the Rev. Gerald Bennett officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Full military honors will be given to Mr. Sprouse by the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Sprouse was born in Austin, Texas, and was the son of the late Clifford M. Sprouse Sr. and the late Imogene Blount Sprouse. Mr. Sprouse was of the Baptist faith and retired from the U.S. Air Force obtaining the rank of Technical Sergeant (E-6). He also served three years is the U.S. Army Reserve. Mr. Sprouse formerly worked at Celanese and PBI. Mr. Sprouse is survived by his wife, Pauline Craig Sprouse; his daughters, Julia Strait and husband, David L. Strait Jr. of Catawba and Christina Sprouse of Rock Hill; his brother, Beldon Wayne Sprouse of Caldwell, Texas; his grandchildren, David L. Strait III, Travis M. Strait, Clisty L. Gibson (Jake) and Jessica L. Mackey; and his great-grandchildren, Ariell J. Gibson, Adalyn J. Gibson and Jaelynn L. Mayo. Condolences may be made at www.greenefuneralhome.net.
