Earl Connor Obituary

Earl T. Connor LANCASTER - Mr. Earl T. Connor, 87, died Saturday, June 9, 2013, at his home. He was born May 28, 1926, in Rock Hill, S.C., the son of the late L.N. Connor and Bessie Ramsey Connor and was the husband of 62 years to the late Mary Cox Connor. Mr. Connor retired from Spring Industries and a marine business and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. Mr. Connor was also a member of the Lions Club for over 30 years and Second Baptist Church. Mr. Connor is survived by his children, Doug Connor and his wife, Karen (predeceased), Joe Connor (predeceased) and his wife, Elaine and Mark Connor and his wife, Jewel; three grandchildren, Jennifer, Anna and Ben; two brothers, Don Connor and Ted Connor and his wife, Jill; a sister, Faye Cook and her husband, Bob; and brother-in-law, Clifton Spears. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Connor will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at The Chapel of Hartley Burgess Funeral Home. A graveside funeral service will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Greenville, S.C. The family of Mr. Connor will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 10, 2013, at Hartley Burgess Funeral Home and suggests memorial contributions be made to Alzheimer's Association, 901 S. Pine St. Spartanburg, SC 29302 or White Oak Manor, 253 Craig Manor Rd., Lancaster, SC 29720. An online guest register is available on the obituaries page at www.hartleyburgess.com.
