Flossie HopperCLOVER - Martha Flossie Farris Hopper, 88, of Clover, S.C., passed away Sunday, July 14, 2013, at Piedmont Medical Center, Rock Hill, S.C. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at the First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dave Stanford officiating. Interment will follow at Woodside Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church sanctuary. Mrs. Hopper was born Nov. 4, 1924, in York County to the late James Nathan and Mary Bell Dover Farris. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, Lloyd C. Hopper; daughter, Linda H. Bradel; three brothers, Arval, Harvey and Marvin Farris; and three sisters, Elsie Chesney, Norma Boheler and Nina Neelands. Mrs. Hopper is survived her son, Lloyd C. Hopper Jr.(Hilda) of Clover; grandchildren, Lloyd C. "Tripp" Hopper III (Katie) of Anderson, S.C., and Dana H. Copeland (Craig) of Columbia, S.C.; four great-grandsons, Cole and Luke Hopper and Evan and Zach Copeland; and five sisters, Sadie Arrowood, Bernice Baumgardner, Vangie Turner, Lillie Spearman and Mavis Cook. Mrs. Hopper was a long-time member of First Baptist Church in Clover and was retired from Celanease Corp. in Rock Hill, S.C. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 117 S.
