Gavin Guffey Obituary
August 20, 2004 - July 27, 2022
Rock Hill, South Carolina - Mr. Gavin Timothy Guffey, aka "Goop" 17, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at his home.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at West End Baptist Church, with Rev. Joey Deese officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Park - Hollis Lakes Road.
Born in Pineville, NC, Mr. Guffey was the son of Brandon Earl Guffey and Melissa Glosson Guffey. He was a 2022 graduate of Rock Hill High School and worked as a host at Hickory Tavern. He loved art, music, skateboarding and video gaming with his friends. Gavin lived to the beat of his own drum. He was a unique, one-of-a-kind guy and you could be yourself around him. He loved his younger brothers and being a big brother to others. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brothers, Coen Guffey and Callahan Guffey; his paternal grandparents, Timothy and Angie Thomas; his maternal grandparents, Charles and Ana Glosson; and his grandparents, Burke and Astrid Anders.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm-7:30 pm on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC.
The Guffeys will be starting a non-profit in the coming months that memorials may be made to. <3
