Jeanne Stott Obituary
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church. Inurnment will follow in the church columbarium. Mrs. Stott was born Aug. 7, 1922, in New Smyrna Beach, Fla., the daughter of William Harland and Florice Courtney Gilmore.
Jeanne was a longtime member of First Baptist Church and enjoyed playing bridge, gardening/flowers and needlework.
In addition to her parents, Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband, Drayton P. Stott in 2002.
Surviving are her son, Drayton P. Stott Jr. and wife, Jane, of Greensboro; daughter, Gail Stott Cook and husband, Joseph, of Rock Hill, S.C.; sisters, Ruth Marker of Glencoe, Ala., Betty Martin of Huntsville, Ala., Mildred Meeks of DeLand, Fla., and Ann Robertson of Tomball, Texas; grandchildren, David Drayton Stott, Caroline Marie Stott and Joseph Andrew Cook; and great-granddaughter, Emma Claire Stott.
The family will receive friends at the home of her son, Drayton, 309 Ridgeway Drive.
Memorials may be directed to Greensboro Urban Ministry, 305 W. Lee St., Greensboro, NC 27406.
Hanes-Lineberry N. Elm Chapel is assisting the Stott family.
