Larry Sexton

Following a courageous battle with cancer, Larry Wayne Sexton departed this life on Sunday, June 26, 2016. Surrounded by members of his family at his home in York, rejoicing in the words of "Precious Lord, Take My Hand", Larry's Savior guided him to his eternal home in Heaven.

A graveside service will be held at 10am on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Forest Hills Cemetery with Rev. Mike Wooten officiating.

Larry was born on May 26, 1950 to the late Odell Sexton and Beulah Lucas Sexton. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Sandra Dickinson and Rebecca Christie; and his best friend, Mary Smith. He is now reunited with them, along with the four-legged family members he lost over the years, Missy, Bandit, Oreo, Mandy and Bella.

Larry was a 1968 graduate of Rock Hill High School and began his professional career as the Executive Director of the Rock Hill Senior Citizens Center. For 31 years he was the manager of Circle K where he made many friends among employees and his customers.

Surviving are his brothers, Donald, Douglas, Richard and Billy Sexton; his daughter, Shelley Sexton; his son and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Lori Sexton; and the two people he cherished most, his beloved granddaughters, Madison and Mackenzie Sexton.

Larry's family would like to thank all of the staff at Agape Hospice for the care they provided to Larry and the compassion they showed to all of us throughout this journey.

The family will receive friends from 6-7:30pm on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Rd, Rock Hill, SC.
