I am so very sorry for your loss. I was on the PTO board at HCJ in York when Dr. Ligon took the reigns. She was a delight to work with, very open-minded. I went to high school in that building from 1969-1972 and was very familiar with the building. As I went to meet Dr. Ligon for the first time, the first thing I noticed when I walked into the front door was how "shiny" and clean everything was and how it did not smell as I remember. It was the detail that made her special and thankful that my daughter was under her command! My thoughts and prayers will be with you as you go through this most difficult time. I do remember how much she loved you all.

It's heartbreaking. She was my first grade teacher in 1958 at Oakdale Elementary School. After all these years I remember her as though it were yesterday. With the enormous awesome affect I remember she had on my life I can't even imagine the number & amount of people she affected with her awesome being as a person, not to mention educator!! As now...I will always treasure the memories of her as my first grade teacher. My thoughts are definitely with the family.
With heartfelt sympathy & love,
