Mary Moore Obituary
The funeral will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 20, 2018, at Wolfe Funeral Home. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Park - Cherry Road in Rock Hill.
Born in Exeter, Rhode Island, Mary was a daughter of the late Edward Samuel LeCour and Pearl Elizabeth Gardiner LeCour. In 1962, she married Jerry Harlin Moore who was serving in the U.S. Navy. Mary worked as a private duty nurse in various cities where they were stationed. Upon her husband's retirement, they moved to Fort Mill and founded "Little Fox Nursery" childcare center which is still in operation today. Mary was a member of First Baptist Church.
Surviving are sons, Edward Leonard "Scott" LeCour and his wife, Peggy and Jerry Douglas Moore and his wife, Robin, all of Fort Mill; sisters, Sylvia Stanley (Fred) of Hope Valley, R.I. and Rhoda Nutting of Shannock, R.I.; grandchildren, Natasha and Benjamin Moore, Fayme Bottomsides (Thomas), Jacques LeCour (Madeline), Kyle, Christopher, Matthew; and great-grandchildren, Audrey, Archer, Henry, Sophia, Triston, Jackson and Mary.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Friday, January 19, 2018, at Wolfe Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Memorials Processing, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
