YORK - Mattie Mae Dover Norman Lanier, 91, of York died Thursday, June 23, 2011, at White Oak Manor in York.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. on Monday, June 27, 2011, at East Clover Church of God. The Rev. Jay Hibberts and the Rev. Jeff Gilfillan will be officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Memory Gardens.
Mattie Mae was a daughter of the late Brown Dover and Clara Lee Childers Dover . She was the widow of Boyce Norman and Bond Lanier. She was a member of East Clover Church of God. She worked as a winder at Clonigers Mills.
She is survived by two sons, Johnny Norman and Jake Norman. both of York, S.C.; four, daughters, Judy Robinson of York, S.C., Jeanette Brandon of McConnells, S.C., Billie Gregory of Clover, S.C., Dottie Quinn of Fort Lawn; 22 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 26, 2011, at Bratton Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to East Clover Church of God at 743 Church Park Dr., Clover, SC 29710.
Bratton Funeral Home in York is serving the Lanier family.

She was the best grandma anybody could ask for! You have held my hand for many years through many tough times so I was honored to hold your hand during this difficult time! I love you and will always miss you. She was truly an angel sent to us from heaven :)
