Ray Burns Obituary
Ray was a son of the late George Burns and Kathryn Williams Burns.
A proud graduate of Aberdeen High School, Mr. Burns served in the banking industry for many years in Aberdeen, Clover, Honea Path, and York. Known by family and friends as an avid reader, Clemson Tiger enthusiast, and active member of Trinity United Methodist Church, he had a heart for serving God and his community. Ray served in the United States Army.
Mr. Burns is survived by his wife Mary Sue Burns, and two daughters, Debbie Boland (Frank) and Doris Jean Harris (Bret). four granddaughters, and four great-granddaughters, brother Tom Burns (Jane). In addition to his parents, Mr. Burns was predeceased by his brother Zane Burns.
A memorial service will be at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday November 20, 2018, at Trinity United Methodist Church with Rev. Josh Blackwelder officiating.
Visitation will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church Parlor on Tuesday November 20, 2018, from 1-2 PM
Memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 22 E. Liberty St York, SC 29745
