Barry R. Jones

Barry Robert Jones, 64, of Hartford passed away suddenly on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2025, at home.

Barry was born May 7, 1961, in Watervliet, the son of Dale and Joanne (King) Jones, both of whom preceded him in passing.

Barry worked several years in die casting and later in life, Barry was a caregiver for adult assisted living. In his spare time, he was an avid morel mushroom hunter.

Barry is survived by his two children: Steven (Heidi) Jones and Amanda Jones; nine grandchildren: Domnick Jones, Lili Anna Jones, JoAnna Jones, Christopher Foster, Natalie Foster, Hayden Perrone, Mackenzie Perrone and Nicholas Perrone. He is also survived by three sisters: Darcel (Tim) Hildebrand, Dorinda (Ross) Safro and Decima (Richard Jr.) Fuller and numerous other family members and friends.

As per Barry's wishes, cremation has taken place. A graveside service is planned for 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 21, in the Maple Hill Cemetery in Hartford. Robert Vassar will officiate.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Hartford United Methodist Church food pantry. The family has entrusted the Calvin Funeral Home, Hartford, with arrangements. Those wishing to leave memorial condolences for the family may do so at www.calvin-leonardfh.com.
