Charles will be remembered as a hard-working family man. He built windows for Special Lite in Decatur for almost 30 years before his retirement. He also enjoyed detailing cars as a part-time hobby, especially after he retired.
Often referred to as "Lucky Charlie," he had a knack for winning big at the casino and playing the lottery. But nothing made him feel luckier than getting to spend time hunting and fishing, especially with his grandson, Ryan. A bonafide "twinkle toes," Charles was an amazing dancer – always highly sought out by the ladies at all weddings. If you couldn't find him out in the barn, enjoying a few beers, cigarettes and rocking to the oldies, he was likely watching a classic western on TV or spending time with his family.
Charles will be missed by his wife, Sharon (Creagan) DeLoach, whom he married on May 1, 1981, in Paw Paw; his children: Ashley (Jeremy) Corwin and Matthew DeLoach; his grandchildren: Addison and Ryan Corwin; his siblings: Billy (the late Linda) DeLoach, Thomas (Jeannette) DeLoach, Mary (Doyle) Drane, Linda (George) Bergeson, James (Joyce) DeLoach, Richard DeLoach, Bonnie (the late John) Imler, Judy (Bill) Haberland, Norma (Dave) Bulat and Georgia (Richard) Freeman and his siblings-in-law: Monica DeLoach, Karen Creagan and John Creagan.
He is preceded in death by his siblings: Carl DeLoach, Kenneth DeLoach, Daniel DeLoach and Mark DeLoach; his niece and nephews: Sara DeLoach, Wesley DeLoach and Steven Athey and his parents.
