David A. Krumrie, Sr., 73, of St. Joseph, passed away Saturday, Dec. 17, 2022, at Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph.
A Celebration of Life service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, June 26, 2023, at The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints, 3653 Niles Road, St. Joseph, with Bishop Chris Barfuss officiating. Burial will precede the service at 10:30 a.m. at Riverview Cemetery in St. Joseph. Memorial donations in David's name may be made to Animal Aid of Southwest Michigan at animalaidswmi.com. David was born July 5, 1949, in Benton Harbor to Lester and Shirley (Anderson) Krumrie. He graduated from Bridgman High School, Class of 1967. David graduated from Lake Michigan College and went on to earn his general contractor's license. David devoted his time to his work. He owned and operated Krumrie Construction for many years, during which time he built and remodeled many homes and buildings in Southwest Michigan.
David is survived by two sons: David A. Krumrie, Jr. and Christian Krumrie; his siblings: Linda (James) Jeschke of St. Joseph, Reed (Carrie) Krumrie of Cartersville, Ga., Debra (Joseph) Pascarella of Holmes Beach, Fla., Karen (Thomas) Keeven of San Diego; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Shirley Krumrie.
