Eric S. Kreitner Sr.

Eric S. Kreitner Sr., 53, of Benton Harbor passed away on Friday, July 7, 2023, at his residence.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. on Thursday, July 20, at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma followed by a time to celebrate Eric's life at the Coloma F.O.P. Lodge 147. Eric was born on May 21, 1970, in Kalamazoo, Mich.

He graduated from Coloma High School in 1989, and from Ivy Tech with an associate's degree. He was currently employed by Local Union 172 in South Bend, Ind., and was a member of the Coloma Lions Club. In his free time, Eric enjoyed golfing, bowling, camping, going to concerts and NASCAR races.

Eric was one of a kind with an amazing sense of humor who truly loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his children. Everyone knew if there was a family function or event Eric would be there, they just weren't sure when.

Eric is survived by his daughter, Jenna Kreitner, and son, Shane Kreitner, both of Benton Harbor; his parents: Dale and Jean Kreitner of Benton Harbor; his mother, Karen Beckwith of Niles; three brothers: Cory Beckwith of Austin, Texas, Steven Beckwith and Doug Beckwith both of Niles; three sisters: Karin Napier of New Jersey, Dawn Baker of South Bend, and Shawn Kanous of Niles. Also surviving is Eric's girlfriend, Becci Hicks; his canine companion and best friend, Cooper; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Eric was preceded in death by his father, Craig Beckwith and a sister, Emily Kreitner Browne.
