Harold was born April 4, 1926, in Mt. Sterling, Ky., to Clifford and Lillian (McClure) Curtis.
During World War II, Harold joined the U.S. Marine Corps where he met his wife, Dorothy, also a Marine. After the war, they were married and had six children.
Harold began working for Bendix, giving them 30 years as a process engineer before retirement in 1983. He was a proud member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church and Stevensville American Legion Post 568. Harold even had the opportunity to go on a "Talons Out Honor Flight" with his granddaughter to Washington D.C. and visit the memorials he fought to defend.
In his spare time, Harold enjoyed being outdoors hunting and fishing. You would also often find him in his basement woodshop building birdhouses and other items or enjoying his well-manicured backyard on his double-glider swing. But most importantly, Harold was a loving husband, father and grandfather, who will be dearly missed.
Harold is survived by his children: Lynne (the late Victor) Haak, Tim Curtis, Cathy (Jim) Gregory, Randy Curtis; and daughter-in-law, Linda Curtis; nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Lois (the late Paul) Lansaw.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Dorothy Curtis; his children: Barb Bettig and Gary Curtis; his siblings: Hazel Benoit, Paul Curtis, Nelson Curtis, Bob Curtis and Ray Curtis; and his parents.
