Henry Lee Taylor Sr., 53, of Benton Harbor departed this life Oct. 12, 2021, at Spectrum Health Lakeland Medical Center in St. Joseph.
A service celebrating his life will be Oct. 21 at Robbins Brothers Funeral Home in Benton Harbor. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., followed by the service at 11 a.m.

Henry was born Sept. 13, 1968, in Northport, Mich., the sixth child born to Robert and Martha.
He graduated from high school in 1987, and pursued an education in law enforcement.
Henry met Tammy Nash, and they married Nov. 13, 1993. He was faithful, keeping his vows until death he did part. He provided for and protected his home.
Known to many as Big Hen, Big Dog and Hank, he loved to barbecue, and feed the neighborhood slabs of ribs, pounds of chicken, polish sausage and grilled pig snouts.
Henry will continue in the hearts of wife, Tammy; daughters, Schenella (Nika) and Jessica; sons, Gregory (Pookie), Henry Jr. (Duda Bird), DeCorey (Corey); volunteer son, Melvin (lit Mel); granddaughters, Sequioa, Shamyra, Koreana and Mi'Angel (lit bit); grandsons, DeCorey Jr. (Big Head), Nazir (Sasquatch), Tyrese and Travis; mothers, Martha (Mot) and Gloria (Dean); brothers, Robert (Sonny) and Gregory (Greg); sisters, Brenda, Tracy, Cora (Lanny), Monique and Sandra; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Henry was preceded in death by fathers, Robert and David; brothers, Donald and Bernardo; sister, Bobbie; maternal and paternal grandparents; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
