Jacqueline Desha Riddick, 44, of Benton Township departed this life Oct. 2, 2021.

A service celebrating her life will be Oct. 23 at Reed Temple in Benton Harbor. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., followed by the service at 11 a.m.

Jacqueline was born April 19, 1977, to the late Eddie Simms and Beulah Dortch in Berrien Springs.

She attended Benton Harbor Area Schools, Lake Michigan College and Phoenix University.

Jacqueline was passionate about family gatherings, which included game night, couples night and youth night. She gave her life to the Lord in 1999, at Brotherhood COGIC.

She married Gregory Riddick on Feb. 4, 2000. She followed her husband's dream to pastor, and Grace and Faith Temple was born.

Jacqueline leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Pastor Gregory Riddick; sisters, Alfreda Dortch, Cuwanda Dortch, Terri (Elder Earnest) Nelson; brother, Tyrone Byndum; uncles, Arthur Lee Dortch Jr.; Elder James (Regina) Dortch, Tommie Dortch Sr. and Alfonso Dortch; aunts, Ruth Patterson and Pamela (Larry) Cooper; brothers in love, Jacky (Dawn) Joseph, Ray Joseph and Kendall Joseph; godchildren, Isiah Boyd, Rosealee Hamilton, Nick and Brittney Kennedy; sons, Shawnquis Sanders, Marquan Dortch, Marquay Hill and Jac'quale Dortch; daughter, Lynell Nelson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Jacqueline was preceded in death by her parents; maternal grandparents, Arthur Lee Sr. and Dorothy Dortch; brother in love, Johnny O'Clock; aunts, Minnie Rayner and Lydia Simms; and uncle, Jimmie Dortch.
