Janet K. "Jan" Kulich, 71, of St. Joseph passed away Friday, Feb. 21, 2025, at Corewell Health Butterworth Hospital, Grand Rapids, Mich.
A celebration of life service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 1, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph. Friends may visit with the family Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Private burial will take place in North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma. Jan was born Aug. 22, 1953, in St. Joseph to Horst and Anna Zuhl. She graduated from Benton Harbor High School, Class of 1971 and from Lake Michigan College with an associate's degree in dental hygiene. Jan worked in the dental field for a time before starting her family. She then devoted her time to caring for her home and her family. Jan was a very caring lady and was always willing to help anyone with whatever they needed. In her free time, Jan enjoyed cooking and cross-stitching and especially the time spent with her family, friends and her canine companions.
Jan is survived by her children: Andrew (Renee) Kulich of Washington Township, Mich., Stephanie (Donald Head) Kulich of St. Joseph; two grandsons: Noah and Nathan Kulich; her brother and sister: Ron Zuhl of Frisco, Texas, and Margaret Zuhl of Byron Center; several nieces and nephews; one great-niece; loving family members from the Zuhl and Kulich families and her canine companion Bella.
Jan was preceded in death by her parents and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
